About Colin Parker

Colin Parker

London born in 1943, I spent most of my working life in the aviation industry. As Senior Illustrator at Rolls-Royce, UK, I was responsible for creating many of the air brush colour cutaways of the aero engines designed and built by the company. Apart from aviation I have always been a car nut, going to race meetings at Brands Hatch and Silverstone in the UK where I managed to pick up many commissions, not only cars, but landscapes too. I have been heavily influenced by the foremost aviation artist, the late Frank Wootton OBE, FAGAvA, and like him I try to represent aircraft in action with the perception of clouds and atmosphere as seen from the pilots point of view.
